Unused and mint condition 1950s Hair Barrettes.
They are 9cm long and 4.5cm tall, made of strong plastic and are very effective at holding hair up.
They come in an array of appealing colours...
I have just found 2 boxes full of them so...bargain time...only £2 each.
The cardboard display has a picture of an elegant young woman with an elaborate hairstyle - modeling the barrette and helpfully stating :
"ORNAMENTS for the hairs
FAVORITES of the Amiable"
"MADE IN HONG KONG"
